I'vr noticed in the 'how to' parts of some of the magazines, it shows you how to replace the pulley cage on some Shimano mechs. Does anybody know which the cheapest servicable ones are, or the cheapests ones worth buying?

Ta,

Tim

Why do you need to?
Normally if you've mangled the cage the whole mech is trashed anyway. Its usually because someone wants to convert a mech to a slightly different use from what its designed for. Probably best to get the appropriate mech anyway.
I don't tend to mangle cages so can't help with the question directly, sorry.

I have mangled the lower arms before without damaging the mech body. Hence my asking. ๐Ÿ™‚

The parts are generally very close to the cost of the whole mech, I'd not bother.

Though from a being green perspective, it's a good thing to do.

Do you know which mech, or just don't think it's a good idea?
