what are you getting for that ? i got a deore set from CRC with bb, triple and cranks for £57

I built my mate a cheap hardtail earlier this year and bought some shimano deores. Think they were about £50 from merlin at the time.

dont bother external bbs are poorly sealed and fail in a short time

I've always thought the sealing on the bearings was better the more you spend. I've had STX & XT and they are better than hte old style on wear/sealing and look right from an engineering point of view.

You can (with practice and skill) change the bearings too.

edric - total rubbish

btw i do know about bikes and components - the question was what is the cheapest not what are the merits
