snapped a tooth off my outer ring - second time I've bent one but this time it wouldnt straighten up. Can't believe the price of a replacement!!! any suggestions for cheap buys or something that is as good for less?
I couldn't bring myself to fork out for an XT outer the other week so just opted for SLX instead.
Is it m770 chainset? I've got an unused outer somewhere.

Bash ring 😀 did exactly the same thing and went to a double set up
again a vote for SLX or deore replacement rings, get it from rose bikes, cheapest place I could find a couple of months back.
File down the rough bits and carry on? I've not died yet 🙂
TBH one tooth shoudln't make that much difference, though a m8 managed to snap two opposite teeth and the chain would no longer stay on, righting-off a newish chainring
Filed it but it's skipping a bit - if it's a m770 ring I'll take you up on that
