Mibbe nobody will care, but I've just seen that On One are selling Van Nicholas Amazon frames for £599 or £799 (size dependent).

That's a whopping saving off the £1,1099 RRP for what is a tremendously versatile frame. I use mine for commuting, for touring and I've even been taking it off-road on local trails and to Glentress. Teamed up with a disc-fork it could be the most versatile bike you'll ever own. Perfect as a winter road bike too as it will take proper mudguards.

PS: No - they're not paying me 😆

Stop it druidh

But just out of interest, what size frame do you ride? (IIRC we're similar height - c5'7")

FWIW, I ride a 54.

I've just had a good look at the photos on the On One website and it looks like that's the "Cross" version they're selling - so no rack mounts 🙁

You're right - I've already got a disc cross frame, so I'm out.

Yeah I was tempted a few days ago until I realised it didn't have the rackmounts 🙁

Yep - that's what it says, but the photo disagrees!

True. I've mailed them for confirmation as am really really tempted by one of these. Not sure it'll get past she who must be obeyed though.....

I've had the alu version of this for years. The Ti upgrade is very tempting!!!

Please let us know what they say about the rack mounts.

How is the sizing? My current ride (Storck) is a 51cm, so a 52cm might be about right, however sometimes I feel like I'm a little stretched so maybe a 50cm.

Not that I'm going to buy one of course!

Will let you know what they say about rack mounts.

tonyd, best to look at the horizontal TT lengths to compare it to your Storck.

Looks like Van Nicholas have a pretty comprehensive sizing tool on their site

At the risk of being a 'hater'...... 🙂

It appears this weighs exactly the same as a £140 Kaffenback - what advantages does it have to justify the extra cost if it's no lighter? Does pretty much the same things no?

grum - kaff weighs 2.15kg, the VN weighs 1.6kg (according to the site anyway)

Ah right, from the page on the On One site they seemed to be identical. Looks a bit like they've just copied and pasted the info from the Kaffenback though strangely (the bit in the box near the bottom).
