So far the GT Peace is looking the cheapest. Genesis IO looks good, but maybe too expensive. Any others to look at?

the podge, seen that. Too small though. Need a 20" plus.

I saw some ss 29ers on ebay for about 250, i thought they were barracuda but cant find them now.

you could of course just get a geared bike and convert it

the SS ones on ebay are probably diamondback mojitos?
running SS but with a singulator. so probably not right for the OP.

Right.

Peace, cheapest by far, kit may be poor, but have spares to replace with.

Genesis IO, £550ish quid, bit over budget, looks nice, apart from brakes, any better than the GT?

On One slot drop frame, probably going to cost £450ish if I use some bits and bobs I have lying about, depending on whether I use my old zocchis or buy a rigid - Don't know if I like the red.

sure i saw a large genesis io in lbs (norwich) yesterday reduced to £349

You can get the genesis IO frame only for £200 - if thats any help? I thought you were after a 29er tho.
