cheap source of cab...
 

[Closed] cheap source of cables?

there was a post about this recently but i cant find it.i am goig to change all my cables to one contiunous length outers and also some of my kids bikes cables are buckshee.
some one listed a good source of outer cable...parkers or something?
i dont need anything amaving like gore or xtr, altho whay do people rave about the xtr ones? what better about them?

Your LBS should be able to sell you it off the roll in the workshop.

Its about £2.40 ish for an inner at the moment and £.50 ish a metre for the outer.

Or just buy some Gore ones.

iirc:
Spiral twist outer can compresses with gears - puts out indexing.
Longitudinal 'twist' gear cable, can split with brake cable pressures.
+ different sized inners.

Cycling weekly sell 5 packs of Clarks inners (2 brake, 2 gear) for £5.....
Even if you never use the brake cables, that's 50p each for gears
