[#2559998]

Hi all,

Looking for a new seatpost for my Giant STP, currently got the stock Giant post on it which is pretty rubbish, keeps on slipping.

So, 30.9mm, black, straight, standard rails, longish (for XC, and small frame), vaguely light and strong, but mainly cheap. Any thoughts?

Ideally something near the top of that list 😛

Something like this?

If anyone has anything suitable for sale, please let me know 🙂 (I dont mind paying a little more if its a decent post)

Ta, Duane 🙂

t bone is pap.

a head pressed onto a "bit o' pipe"

NC17 (CRC own brand?) used to do one like this

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=44974

in 440m length.

not super light, but not porky, and with an eleptical bore inside, so stronger front to back.,
massively impressed with it but they dont seem to do them anymore!

i would still suggest that a pressed head is a sure sign of a cheaply made post.

I bent one of those NC-17 posts and was far from massively impressed 😉

Duane, I've replied over there >> have a read before you commit to buying anything 😉

Sorry, I should clarify that the seat is tilting back when I sit on it heavily, not that the post slipping inside the seat tube.

Look up the Easton EA30 and EA50 or raceface ones. Can pick up cheap ones in clearances.
