I have a packable Altura jacket size small but its too baggy in the wind.

Any recommendations for a cheap race fit packable jacket? Ideally something in a lighter colour to stand out. Needs to be a small small or XS.

If you want close fitting look at roadie orientated stuff.

Have a look on SportsPursuit, they have Rapha and Castelli jackets on sale now...

I keep debating getting one of these, especially while they are going cheap.

Depends exactly what you're looking for it to do but I'd always suggest a browse of Galibier for best cash:performance ratio.

The VentUltra is extremely packable and works well for an occasional windblock/heavy showerproof; they've got plenty of choices from there but obviously as you get heavier duty, you must sacrifice packability.

Its for cold days when i sant to be able to take the top layer off. Not bothered about waterproof but they work well in the cold.

That sportful one is a funny fit. 30 inch waist with 3 inch chest means I'll be too tight on the chest but too lose on the waist for me.

I think that is a generic size guide for Sportful, so chest for jackets, waist/hip/inside leg for bottoms etc.
They have a size guide on their website where you can put your measurements in & adjust your shape. It will then give you a recommendation.
Click on 'find your size' on this link:

I bought an Endura waterproof in the CRC store in Belfast recently. I had to size up, so they’re quite snug.

i think it’s this one:

Endura racecape in yellow. Mine is clear as I wanted it for racing. Packs to rear pocket size. Wind and rainproof. Don't wash it unless by hand. Might be cheaper options in other colours

I’m really liking my Endura humvee windproof. Sure you can find a better price than this:

I have one of these and have found it to be good, not fully waterproof but keeps the cold out and is reasonably breathable. Nice snug fit too. https://alpkit.com/products/arro-mens
