(Mr MC posting) as seen from Nomad and Ibis threads I am looking for either. Saw this blinding deal on tinterweb classifieds

http://sports-equipment.vivastreet.co.uk/sports-sale-buy+london-e2/santa-cruz-nomad-the-mack-daddy-/15240672

a blinding deal at £1000 for nicely specced complete bike.

Emailed seller and got the reply below. Funny how the ad says he lives in london.

So, a scam, or a bargain and shame on me for being so cynical? (if anyone gazumps me and gets the bike dont rub it in!)

(reply in full)
Hi, Frame size : 54 cm. ( medium size ). The thing is that I'm in Italy right now (job duties). The item is already packed and ready to go. It's in excellent condition. About the payment method, you can do it thru westernunion ( www.westernunion.com ) , either by going in person to a westernunion agent, or even online, with your debit/credit card. I have used them in the past and it was always a smooth and quick way to transfer money. So if you want to proceed further with the purchase please send me an e-mail with your name and address so I can make the delivery arrangements for you.

what, I shouldnt send him my money?! 🙂 Makes a nice change for the reply to be in coherent English, and the more usual scams Ive seen have been potential buyers doing the old "i'll give you a check for £5000 and you give me the difference".

Actually, just emailed him to see if he'll accept a check from my agent in italy and pay me the difference. It could all work out fine.

Shame, cos wherever he's lifted the pics from someone had a nice bike.
