[#10315527]

Looking for a pre-built lightish wheelset (shimano freehub) to pair with a new (to me) trek emonda frame...

Not wanting to spend more than £150 really.

Any recommendations?

Cheers,
Andy

Mavic Aksium for £142 at Merlin.  Not exactly lightweight at 1825g the pair but not a bad weight for that price.

Cero AR24 1500g currently on sale for £189 which I know is over budget but you also get a pair of Continental Grandsport tyres thrown in for good measure.

I have run them for a year now and just had one broken spoke, other than that they have been great wheels.

Definitely not wanting to try building one? I'm currently building up a set of Novatechs probably onto Kinlin rims, should be pretty light and looks at to cost me about 160 quid.

I don't have the truing stand nor skills so probably not a good idea! I would like too at some point though as I enjoy tinkering 🙂

I've got those Cero wheels, don't think they can be beat for the money unless you go secondhand really.

Cheers, having a serious look at the ceros but its black friday coming up so may see if they come down any cheaper / within budget.

Thanks
