i'm trying to organise a trip to the lakes for a group of 10-20 ppl.

we were looking at a village hall we've stayed in before which is super cheap, but it's not available for our weekend (fri 21st to sun 23rd)

any sugegstions? we don't even need beds, just some floor space, a couple of toilets and a kitchen... pref near some riding too...

We used to stay in Threkeld village hall many, many years ago. Don't know if they still hire it out.

Have you tried all the climbing huts? There are several good ones in the lakes that will hold that many people.

Denton House in Keswick always hits the spot. Good, clean, flexible accommodation, showers, toilets, kitchen facilities. Walking distance to pubs, food etc. Cheap, cheap. Ride from the door to Skiddaw/Whinlater/Borrowdale etc, etc.

Have you looked here? Quite a few options.

I stayed in the Dinah Hoggus one in Borrowdale and it was fine. Right at the bottom of the best descent on the Borrowdale Bash too.

We had a party at that Dinah Hoggus camping barn (my 30th birthday in fact). We got told we could have a fire then the farmer came the next day and was slightly cross but that was it. There was no-one around to disturb with music/noise etc. Think you could camp in the field next to it as well.
