So being know to repair bikes for my friends I’m used to fixing things on them. But a friend just gave me something I have no clue about, a connect 20” wheel power assist e bike.

there is no power indicator light coming on to the handle bar controller, the batterie is fully charged, the on off switch on the battery lights up when turned on, and with a multi meter across the positive and negative terminals it gives the correct ouput. That’s as far as my multimeter skills goes.

contacts are clean where the battery connects.

thats all I have, over to you hopefully

What is the correct output. Bare in mind what's written on the box is not the output of a full charged battery

For example a 32 volt battery won't read 32 when full charged rather it'll show 32 when nearly fully depleted.
