Im after a decent cheap set of scales to weight my bikes ,would love the park tools ones but im not paying that 🙂

Can anyone recommend any decent luggage scales which are accurate and cheapish that'll do the job?

Thanks

Most of the cheap luggage scales on ebay will be good enough. You can calibrate them with buckets of water if that makes you feel any better (though who calibrates the buckets eh?)

FWIW, I'm not convinced the Park ones are particularly accurate.

If it's a one off what about a normal set of scales, weigh yourself and then re-weigh holding the bike and calculate the delta?

Hi

As druidh says - a cheap luggage scale from fleabay.

I bought a digital one for about £8.00 posted & its brilliant. It has a looped handle which I loop through my extended bike stand & hang my bike on its hook by using a cord string looped around the seat pin & handlebar stem.

It weighs in Kg & Lbs and even locks on when the weight settles. 25.9lbs at present for a full suss - but it is carbon.....

I gotta agree here, as mine over-read certainly 😉

In my experience, the Park ones under-weigh 🙂 Still, I suppose that's good for bike shops trying to sell you the latest, lightest toy.
