Looking on Ebay there are loads of cheap ANT+ speed and cadence sensors, fraction of the cost of the Garmin branded ones.

Are they any good?

Or should I go for the middle ground, like the Decathlon ones?

£35 for speed and cadence

I had a ‘cheap’ ANT+ HRM that came with an awful Magellen GPS.

I thought it was OK, until I got a Wahoo one. With the Wahoo I never get any connection problems with other devices, works faultlessly.

I’d say avoid the cheap ones, your sanity is worth the extra outlay.

I’ve had good experiences with cheap ones 10-15 quid off amazon. Really cheap one came with a preflattened battery though. I’ve got wahoo on the road bike and cheapie cadence on the mtbs

Garmin ones can be had £25 from this official Garmin reseller on ebay.

I have a cheap one too which works but the Garmin seems more reliable.
