Looking for some cheap 29er tyres for the winter, would these do the job?? Triangular knobles worse than square ones?
I've used these in 26" version and they seem to work quite well. They are relatively grippy in the mud and still quite quick on the hard stuff. Quite a good all rounder i reckon.
having tried some conti gravities once, Ive sworn never to use conti off road tyres again.

Some cheap Bonty Jones XR 29er tyres @ J E James.
Jones XR's are a great summer tyre, but all but useless this time of year...
Tempted by a pair of those Michelins myself, but not at those prices... They're even cheaper on Ebay! 😉
the AT's suffer from the lack of grip on the shoulder, OK as a rear, lethal on the front
The Michelins clear mud well and are a good all-rounder. Lack real bite in deep gloop. Good rear tyre, wouldn't use on front.
picked up a acx from ebay - £14 and seller had a few.
got a cheapy kenda from crc- £14 - alright on the back - wouldn't run it up front though.
I've a bucket load of spare 29er tyres, even those Michelin ones, most are new/used once. Drop me a mail if interested
