[#6871070]

got my eye on a ON ONE 45650B

should I be looking at any other frames for similar money?

I guess 29ers dont really go too well with forks over 120mm?

I do love my 29er - but its an all out race bike.

I'm looking for something I can batter around a bit. 140mm forks - wide bars - fat tyres etc.

I'm running a Parkwood with 120mm travel. Two months of riding it...and I reckon 130/140 would do ok on it....not tried it though, as it seems good as is!

In typical vote for what you've got I'd recommend a 45650b - love mine

Ragley Bigwig (29r) frames were cheap on CRC a while back, not sure if they still have them but they're designed for longer travel forks IIRC

Get a Bizango, great to start with and upgrade as stuff wears out you'll end up with a really cracking bike.

Got a Kona Honzo frame in medium if that's of interest?

I can't think of many frames that beat Dartmoor (hornet or primal) in the "cheap, slack, burly" category.
Both sub £200, "future friendly" with tapered head tube and arguably good looking (if you can see past the decals...)

Wow, cheap and look good. But how would a 160 hardtail ride on anything but the gnarly stuff?

Sorry if dumb question.only ever rode 71 headangle

I guess 29ers dont really go too well with forks over 120mm?

As my mate who rolled out on his 150mm 29r Piked Intense last night proved they do

140mm travel Quarterhorse here, absolutely rocks as a slack hardtail

I stuck 140mm forks on a Parkwood. It was great.
