can any one tell me the gps of how to get to the car park
thanks
so you'd like to know how to drive from morzine to the chatel bike park?
the area you're trying to get to is called pre la joux.
ye thats the idea sorry i was writing in a hurry
There's a turn off about half way to Thonon, then loads of wiggly roads, takes ages. Better off driving up to Linderets, just past Montriond, only takes 10 mins then get the lift over the top.
+1
Out of Morzine down the Thonon road. Go through st Jean d'alps, Turn off to le Biot, over the col de corbier, follow road to Chatel, turn off in town to pre la joux. Done.
sorted thanks
The drive to Chatel and then up to the bike park is very nice and pretty but takes AGES.
Best bet is to park in Morzine as best you can. Buy an area pass for the whole of PdS, Chatel and Morzine are in different sectors IIRC.
Anyway, Take the Super Morzine lift, then roll down 100 m of gravel to the Zorre chairlift. Then ride, following the ridge to Col de Joux Verte. Take the trail dropping off from the hairpinned bend down and along through the woods for about a mile and you will come out into a clearing beneath the Telesiege de Linderets chairlift. From this point onwards there are lots of possibilities down to les Linderets. The easiest is to continue along the trail you have been on so far, all the way to Les Brocheaux chalet, then take the fire road back to Les Linderets.
Harder is the French National DH run that gap jumps the trail close to the netted off reservoir.
Once in the valley bottom, take the Chaux Fleurie lift up to the ridge. The easiest way down to Chatel Bike park is the Panoramique, a big swoopy jumpy (French) green. There are loads of other options though.
