Lots written and available about the various charger damper upgrades n the longer travel trail and enduro forks - and I used to have a Charger 2.1 Pike on a differnet bike which was a great fork.
Not so much about the skinny and short forks though.

Exhibit A - my XC bike. Nearly a year old, love it, only issue is I'm not over the moon with the fork. It says 'SID' on it but its actually a bastardised combo of Reba RL with a Sid Air spring, MoCo damper and SID lowers running at 110mm. Owes me very little, light, looks good, but performance average especially as the rest of bike just wants to go flat out all the time.
Getting a lot of hand pump, numb palms and general 'budget' fork feeling. Charger upgrade is available for £100.... Worth it? Will it make a difference?
Maybe better to look at another fork?
(I do have the option of moving my 2022 Fox 34 (Amazing) across to this bike, puttign a 120 air spring in it and getting a 36 for the trail bike....)

Just do this. Air spring for the Fox will be around £40 and if you are competent enough to service fork lowers then its an easy job to do at home. XC's all about 120, thicker stanchioned forks nowadays anyhow.
Bike looks awesome.
But the real question is surely which fork do you really want on the other bike? 😉
Treat yourself to some lovely Blue Sid ultimate SL i have just put up for sale in the classifieds 🙂
£100 for a charger damper upgrade is definitely worth it..... Noticeable difference on the trail.
Where have you seen it for £100??
Ha, this +1 👀

Seems to be 100 here... https://sportandleisure.com/products/rockshox-charger-race-day-damper-upgrade-kit-for-sid-reba-00-4020-546-000
i've just found that too!
But am now looking at the 35mm raceday damper for my SIDS...wondering if it's worth turning them into ultimates (currently select)

that's avery good deal and worth the upgrade. I have the charger upgrade in a set of sids and it's made the fork behave itself very well.
Depending on the year of your SID’s OP I might have your MoCo damper off you if you’re willing to sell at a reasonable price. I’ve got some Reba’s with a damper which I think it a bit stuffed but not fussed about upgrading to Charger as it’s only a knock about bike. PM me if you’re interested.
I'd guess from the charger upgrade link it's going to be 2018+, IIRC the threads are slightly different for older ones, but I've not got any of the newer ones to try them!
I got the charger 2 damper in my sids for the older model. I also have a couple of MoCo dampers in the shed for older forks (2012-2017) shoud you need one.
Just be aware the linked damper is for 100mm max in 32mm chassis only. The OP states 110mm travel so no good for them.
If anyone spots a nice deal on 35mm SID 120mm ultimates please post it up.

I make that £475ish depending on shipping once import and vat added. Still better than UK prices. Stuck between upgrading my pike to with a lockout or a SID.
I was touing with upgrading my SID damper to the race day...but... I've read reviews that the race day damper is SO lightweight, that it can be a bit fragile, adn less damened.
I think, actually, that the charger damper probably suits my needs better...
