Very comfy for £18 - I have a spesh Henge on my other bike, but for me, the Charge is more comfortable.

Your Arse May Vary! 😀

Blimey - this is turning into an impromptu Soul thread!

It seems to be a great saddle, I had been using an I-beam SDG one for ages as I always seemed to bend rail saddles. Needed rails for my LEV post though so went for the Spoon, idea being that it was such good value that if I bent it it'd be cheap to replace. As it turns out, it's really comfy and hasn't bent one bit yet. Buy one!

Madison flux is pretty much the same saddle, same hull, rails, stitching, for when you can't get the right Spoon at the right price. Gusset R is also the same, but all glued rather than stitched. Handy if tatty stitching is why you bin a saddle.

Yup. Gusset R also has the advantage of some excellent colourschemes (if you're in Def Leppard)

[img] [/img]

(or the Bay City Rollers)

[img] [/img]

Not all glued btw, the boring colours are but the comedy ones are stitched.

Someone did a PSA the other day, cheap Spoons- and one of the strange things about Spoononomics is that I sold mine used for more than I paid for it. I liked it well enough, still got one on the commuter but found it a bit wide for me.

All different saddles on different bikes. Fair to say that I love the shape and it suits me! Cheap and light(ish) too.

First saddle I've tried in a long while that hasn't had me putting the Ragley Cheeky back on straight away.

Don't think I've had any other type of saddle for a few years now, (except a Flux, so I think that counts)

Oh, and I'm going to get one of those tartan Gussets for the Kona.

Very comfy saddle but not impressed with its life expectancy. What mileage have folk been getting out of the leather ones?

POSTED 1 HOUR AGO # REPORT-POST

Had my leather Ti one for a few years done loads of miles in it, must be 50+ a week. Had the cheaper ones before and they were good too. All of mine the stitching has worked lose on the back left edge but this has not really effected them.

I've got 3 of 'em. The last one I bought, cheapy black version about 18 months ago, was really sticky when new and would 't let go of my shorts. Nearly had me off the bike once or twice. Fine now the surface has smoothed off a bit. Anyone else notice this?

Great saddle, had a couple of them. Can't beat them for the money.

The answer the OP, I don't have a custom one (bit spendy for me at the moment), but I do have two spoons and a knife, including a Surface edition (black with a nice blue base). No decent photos but the Surface is currently on my BFe (will probably end up on the CX bike or hardtail which are black/blue and blue/white respectively).

Loving the variety of bikes that the spoon is on.
😀 What makes the knife slightly more pricey?
Is it just the Ti rails?
