Looks great VFM on wiggle at <£900 with an alfine. Quite tempted - how do they handle?

I bought one from Wiggle about a month ago and I've not used my other two bikes since getting it. I'm just under 6 foot and the large is perfect for me. The geometry feels sorted with the steering being really responsive and accurate as well as the steel taking some of the sting out of longer rides. The bike isn't the lightest but I've not really noticed it during climbing as it climbs pretty well. You do notice the hub weight a little on rougher ground as the rear end feels a little dull over the bumps but it grips well. The forks are also much better thn I expected with small bumps being smoothed and bigger hit soaked up(as much as 100mm can). The shifting is excellent, really smooth and accurate. On steeper inclines the hub can fail to shift under loading but a quick back pedal sorts it. This does disrupt the flow a little. The gear range is good for offroad use but during my commute on road I slightly miss the higher gears a little.

Overall I love the bike with the few niggles not really worrying me as I bought the bike as a tow path / commuter.

Looking forward to mine, especially looking foward to winter rides when I can just take it off the roofrack and put it away without all the faff of cleaning and lubing rear mechs, cassettes etc etc
