[#7306274]

I bought a set of 150mm Pikes RC last year for a bargain and have the Urge to up the travel from 150 to 160,I understand this will change the geometry slightly,Have spoken with Giant who said i would be fine putting 160 travel on my Reign 2 and it wont affect my frame warranty, its a 2013 model,

will the extra 10mm be THAT noticeable or am i wasting time and money,

cheers

Only cost me 60 quid to do it so for that amount of cash i thought it was worth it.

I'm guessing you got someone to fit it for you as that seems expensive if you done it yourself. It cost me no more than £30 doing it myself.
I don't know how worth it it will be on the Giant but it was absolutely worth it on my old Canyon Spectral

Yeah, lower leg service included in that price too. I think its worth it, slightly longer and slacker if that's your thing.

Cheers Guys, think the rod is around 30 quid so it seems a good deal,
Is it doable for a not-so clued up person(Me)

It really is a simple job.
You'll also learn how to do a lower service which will come in handy for you.
Just watch the video and take your time the first time you do it.
Once you've done it you'll wander what all the fuss was about.

I used that vid...it was good but the bit where you're moving the plastic seal head so you could get the circlip out was well fiddly, hardest part for sure as rest was easy

Leave the fork in your frame and turn your bike upside down so you can push down on the plastic head easier.

Cheers Stu. My solution in the end was getting my missus to push down on the plastic head as I got in there with the circlip pliers
