[#7084823]

if I want to swap brakes and I have internal hoses how difficult is it to swap the hoses? I'm guessing I'll need to remove all the fluid, swap the hoses and then do a fill/bleed? Is there any way of avoiding a complete drain of the system without risking DOT5 ending up inside the frame?

Could take it LBS but that's about £30 so was thinking of trying DIY.

No, how would you do that?
Remove the hose from the caliper and drain. Then remove the hose the the lever draining from that. Pull the hose out, bobs your uncle. Grab a bleeding kit for a tenner and learn how to do it, its not hard just follow the instructions.

Buy a Rockshox Reverb barb connector, remove the lever, screw one end into the old hose, attach new hose onto other end, pull the old one out while pulling the new one in at the same time

Good tip, still will need a re-bleed though.

@Darrenspink Cheers stupid question I know but logically is a full bleed just double checking before I go for it.

@Eauns2 I've got a bleed kit but reverb barb is a great idea.
