Hi All,

I am about to take delivery of a new Scott Spark RC 900 and I have a brand new set of XT brakes that I want to fit.ย  However, that will be complicated by the internal hose routing.ย  I am assuming that I can whip off the levers and the calipers and connect the new ones to the in place hoses?

And for those about to say 'just keep the SLX they are just as good' then I am not listening!

If you can think of any reason why this will not work or any hints and suggestions then I would be very interested.

as long as the fitments at each end are the same then I see no reason why not. If they aren't and you need to create new fitments then depends how much spare hose you have to fit the new fittings into.

You need to rebleed and it would make sense to use new sealing washers, although you might get away with the latter.

Can't see a problem but I'd fit a new olive at the lever and bleed again

Buy spare parts in case you need them but I'd be tempted to just wing it and hope for the best. Shimano reasonably forgiving for chopping and changing.
