Hi all

Does anybody know if its possible to reduce the travel on the Pike RC fork as well as the RCT3? Someone mentioned that they might not have quite the same innerds.

Finding it difficult to get a clear t'internet answer and don't want to go buying things until I'm sure

Cheers all

Craig

Air shafts are the same design on all pike models, you just need to get the one for correct wheelsize & travel.

Yep; upped mine from 130 to 140mm with a £27 airshaft from CRC - the mechanical bit to swap it is a wee bit fiddly for the final curclip fitting!

As above, doable with a new air shaft, got mine from CRC to drop from 150mm to 130mm. Easy job but getting the circlip off ideally needs at least 3 hands or a good clamp to push against.

Useful video here going through the process:

Don't follow the advice at the end of that vid.You do not fully compress the forks when locking up the foot nuts. You create a secondary negative chamber.
