I built my Chameleon a couple of weeks ago and rode in the Quantocks on Saturday and White's Level on Sunday.
Holy cow, what a fun bike! Flickable, involving, precise, easy to pop the front end, climbs well, loves the steep bits. My only worry now is that I think it might be more fun than my Heckler.
Maybe it's just 'cause it's new and the sun was shining.
Just thought I'd share. Anyone out there thinking of investing in a Chameleon, do it, you'll never stop smiling.
i had one, it was fun but i felt beaten up after riding it.
I agree, it's amazingly good fun. Keeping the back wheel on the ground during descents is damn near impossible, it sees bumps and rocks and runs straight over to them for a jump like a little kid in his new wellies.
My most favourite bike at the moment, if I'd not have owned an inbred, it'd be my most favourite bike ever.
That back end though, it's great for hopping about on but it can seriously screw your back up on long rides and climbing fast over rocky things can be hard work.
Samuri - tubeless is the answer then?
Love mine.
Get the 2.5 Maxxis Minion's f+r, Double chainring and a bash guard and off you go, fun bikes!
I tested a Heckler and a Chameleon back to back and although I liked the Heckler, the Chammy just instantly felt "right". 9 months on and it really does get better and better. Especially once you've overcome the rear end lol!

They're great especially in the color white - period!
Yep,
It's the bike I should have bought years ago.
I find people riding Scruz funny to ๐
I'm enjoyin' mine!
And I was thinking of getting a Heckler. But my cham is good fun just a bit saw after 4 hrs. I will not be selling it.
