thinking of heading out with the family this summer. Ideally we'd have access to a pool - not necessarily its own private pool but a shared one, as part of a group of chalets, if such a thing exists in Morzine.

Any ideas?

[2 adults, 2 youngsters, 8 and 10]

the main aqua park in Morzine is good, easy to get to, lots of pools inside and out.

opens up lots of chalet options then....

Morzine has it's own indoor and outdoor pool.

We stayed here last August. Chalet was nice although the pool was a bit cold as I think they had heating problems with it. Wouldn't say it was the most accessible to Morzine though as it was a little bit up route d'Avoriaz so you'd ideally need a car to get in/out of Morzine. Nice views looking over towards the Pleney though!

yeah we've been to the main pool but we want something where the kids can just walk out of the chalet and straight into a pool. Indulgent I know but this is how the adults stay sane on family holidays.... 8)

Morzine public pool is pretty decent and centrally located. Free access with a multi pass so choose a chalet that includes that. The avoriaz pool is well worth a trip with kids (or just big kids) the half pipe is excellent. There's a few hotels with pools but not many chalets. It is a ski resort mostly.

Stayed in a place called 'The Shieling' last year, it came with the use of a small, cold pool - it was nice enough, but it was in the back of a small apartment complex facing the car park and felt a bit damp inside. Beautifully furnished and a really well appointed kitchen.

The year before we stayed at Les Cotes Hotel, it's just over the super morzine bridge from Central Morzine, it was lovely and runs on a B&B basis it has a lovely pool it's in-door in a conservatory type thing along with a hot tub and games rome for the kids. It's supposedly self-catering, but the 'kitchen' is a tiny corner in the room with an old electric hob and that's it, no pots, pans cutlery or anything.

If you've got young kids like me you'll probably end up back in the digs for 9, the Shieling was better for this nice living room, decent internet and telly meant (with the help of my laptop and Hola) we could enjoy a drink watching TV whilst the kids slept.

Tbh you pay a heavy premium for a pool in Morzine, they're quite rare and we never used either much.

The campsite at chattel has a chalet and a pool. We stayed there last year. It's a short walk between them, less than 2 minutes

IMO best bet would be to try and find a hotel with a pool, not sure any exist in Morzine and in the resorts I know with Chalets and/or hotels with pools they are priced very much for top end.

I think you're right. Maybe we need to just have a ground floor chalet and garden...
