Anybody using any of these chain tamin devices? Im trying to get the bike running a bit quiter and considering giving something like this a go.

STFU definitely works. I would have gone VHS, but couldn't seem to find it in the UK.

I've just ordered some VHS from Biketart as the pathetic chainstay protection on my Ripmo is slowly peeling off. It looks pretty good from the few bikes I've seen it fitted to. I'm sure I can make it look terrible though.

Another vote for VHS tape. 2 rides in and it's definitely improved things on my Scott.

Me too, but I have a triple on the front (not retro, just an old bike!) and these devices seem to be 1x only.

VHS tape - not video tape I'm guessing?!

Probably not much interest to the OP, but this homemade bodge caught my eye. Stupidly I've cut off the posters name in my screen shot and I took it a while ago 🤦‍♂️ [edit: F me, that's from 7 years ago! 😄]

the chain tamer works brilliantly , been running one on my foxy for a year and a half it makes the bike dead quiet . just bought a new one as its finally worn out
