[Closed] Chain skipping off the highest gear

I've got an issue with my new bike and it's driving me insane. Everytime I pedal hard up hill in the lowest gear (42t) the chain slips and drops down a cog. All the gear is brand new XX1 apart from the cassette and runs perfectly on the flat not under hard load. My potential options are;

The cassette is worn. It's a possibility but it's not had tonnes of use.

The new chain is not mating with the worn cassette?

The chain line is out, it looks pretty crossed as all 1x11s do but the chainring is as far inboard as possible without touching the frame

Gears need a tweak? The High screw is set well and the b screw looks to be set well too.

Anything else I've missed?

Possibly not enough tension on the gear cable to hold it on the 42T?

Try more tension on the cable by adjusting the barrel on your rear mech?

Could also be other issues.

Once upon a time cassettes cost £30 and you could take a punt on a new one as it'd get used in time anyway. SRAM put an end to that. As you have the old cassette, do you not have the matching chain to try and rule out the (in)compatibility?

New chain on worn cassette?

My guess would be crappy chain line.

Sorry but I don't have a solution...

Doesn't have to be very worn before it won't mesh with a new chain. Thing is though, it's still a perfectly good cassette. Got the old chain hanging around? Put that on and run it to death. Or otherwise, new cassette.

That said it could be an indexing issue. Stop not set correctly for that end of the cassette. Minor adjustment needed in barrel adjuster, or b screw adjustment possibly to move it out slightly.
