I want to run 1 X 9 on my new Ragley frame as it would be well suited for most of the riding I do.
I have SLX cranks and just want to keep the middle ring up front, as far as I understand I need shorted chain ring bolts, but I have phoned 2 or 3 big LBS's and none of them to get what I was asking about.
Your advice would be appreciated.

Yep you do, CRC have some, KCNC do some pimpy ones too.

i made spacers to fit mine until i got a bashguard.

I got some spacers or you could cut the regular ones. Pimpy stuff would be good though.
