[#2941958]

How do I determine the correct chain length on an FS Bike. It's a single pivot (Nukeproof Mega) and seems a bit noisy, a lot of slap etc. I'm running 9sp 22/36 and bash. Under full compression (simulated by removing all air from the shock) the chain is as tight as it dare be on the large sprocket and chainring.

Is this common on FS bikes?
Do I go tighter still?
Would a chain device/guide solve it?

Any advice appreciated!

Everything sounds right,i'd slap a cheap chain device like a blackspire stinger or the superstar on, also tape/innertube on chainstay always helps with chain slap.

Yeah, just looking at the stinger......should do the trick until I'm fit/rich enough to go 1x10.....

the chain is as tight as it dare be on the large sprocket and chainring

If that's big to big, don't worry you'll never need them.
