Chain Guide on a Isla Creig?

Morning all

Looking for some advice for the above. Any Crieg owners (maintainers) fitted one?

The chain on Beamers junior's Crieg keeps on bouncing off when he's crossing rough terrain at high velocity.

Go my eye on this Little Chap.

Any other tried and tested solutions for an Isla Crieg?

Ta in advance

Dunno about a creig, but we fitted a similar CD to our Bheinn 20 when the chainset broke and we moved to a bare chainring.
It needed about 8mm of shimming on the seat tube but worked fine

PS, strange that your Creig doesn't already have one. Ours came with one fitted.

Have you tried phoning IB?

Fitted with a Sram X-4.

Nope, didn't come with one fitted and there isn't anything showing on the Islabike website as an option.

there are similar/same guides to the lil' chap on ebay, for about £12.

Just match the seattube diameter

Yep, prescribed a 10 speed chain (drive train is 8 spd) or a rear mech with a clutch.

They didn't have any specific guide to recommend.
