Where it goes - currently about 7 o clock with the roller in line with the edge of the bash guard.
Sound right?

show me some pics of stingers/superstar drs type guides

Sounds about right, basically position it so it wraps the chain further round the chainring but doesn't foul the swing arm (which on a heckler won't be an issue).

ideally you want the lower roller/guide to be rotated up as far towards the chainstays as possible and the top guide plate pretty much vertical.
but depends on your frame too.

no top guide - just a lower roller

somewhere between 7 & 8 oclock then.
make sure the lowest point of the guide doesn't go any lower than your bash guard or it may take hits under compression.

this one is too low
