[Closed] Centerlock lockrings - with wheels or rotors?

Dumb question maybe but only because I don't know the answer...

I've just taken some wheels off a new bike that have CL rotors. I'm going to sell the wheels and the rotors. Which do the lockrings go with? My instinct is that they stay with the wheels.

Wheels.....

QR uses a different lock ring to 15mm so they go with the wheels.

I’ve got 6 pairs of centrelock wheels and rotors and never received lock rings with either!

Shimano rotors come with lock rings, most others don’t.

I’d leave them with the wheels...

Thanks all - will leave them with the wheels.

And certain wheels such as Fulcrum have an externally threaded lockring which I can't imagine would be easily replaced if not included with the wheels

Based on recent experience I wouldn't expect either wheels or rotors to come with lock rings - sell them separately then buy extra Haribo/make a donation to homeless orphan animals as you choose.

Taking it to a whole new level. I remember when people sold rotors with brakes, life was easier back then.

Careful if you are listing them on eBay, some EE guy ended up getting my rotors FOC because he argued they should have had lockrings with them.

So to recap

If you buy a decent brand you get with both.

If you buy a crap brand of wheel it comes with a propriatory lock ring

If you buy cheap rotors it comes with nothing.

If you buy used youll probably get nothing.

If you sell used youll probably get shafted.

Standard

I didn't get any with a £1000 pair of Roval carbon wheels.

Shimano CL rotors do come with lockings

It's a proper pi$$-take sometimes, like selling frames/forks without thro-axles and then you find they have a non-standard thread

Shimano cl rotors come with lockrings so I'd sell as such, wheels without lockring is a lesser problem because it's a higher value item worth treating to some bling Hope ones.
When I bought shimano hubs they didnt come with lockrings.
