I was up there on Wednesday - the vast majority of the trail was open, but the car park and the top section if trail from there to the wind turbine was still fenced off. Work was ongoing to clear everything, so they may be a lot further on by now. Certainly rideable.

An old thread but I was at Cathkin Braes on Wednesday and the trails and car park are all open now. A few people riding the trail and other than a guy deciding to run up one of the red rocky descents as I approached, the walkers and dog walkers were very good.

People are parking on the start/finish line though which is a pain if the cars start to move as you go past.

Thanks, maybe worth the trip now. Is it still running fine and are any of the extra bits from the games still open?

It was my 1st visit this week but it seemed to be running fine.
Not sure what you mean by extra bits but it was just the trail and the car park, nothing else there. Trail seemed to be the same as at the games.
