Bought my G-Shock around three years ago from www.watchshop.com, but they seem to have gone up in price since then - mine cost £46 and is now £63.

I looked around for ages before buying from the watch shop's eBay store.

TikTox are good value, but I ended up buying mine from Debenhams.
Amazon have a good selection, as do The Watch Hut.

I got some inspiration and advice from some of the threads on here and from this forum.

But I am wondering why it says go ape on the face?

Indeed... Or why they've written 'BAPE' above that?

Bathing ape (BAPE) is a Japanese fashion brand who collaberated with casio on a very limited run of G-Shocks a few years ago. Genuine BAPE G-Shocks are a kind of holy grail to collectors and worth a fair bit of money, hence the DX rip-off.

G-Shocks are excellent watches (if they are to your taste) but poor quality fakes are common so it makes sense to get one from a reliable source (as opposed to e-bay etc.)

Work buddy loves his posh watches (£1000+) but will not take up the challenge of using his like a hammer, or standing on it, dropping it off the top of the stairs etc.., unlike my £50 G-Shock.

Best value for money at any price. Much like old Nokia phones...

Be aware, ebay is awash with fake g shocks! I was caught out myself, that'll teach me for being a tight git! Amazon is usually very good.
