I want to swap the wheels over from Vulcan to banshee as the Vulcan has lighter ones... anyway do these look like the right tools for the job to swap the cassette over?

Yes. They're the ones.
Chain whip's right, but that's a freewheel removal tool, rather than cassette I'd say. Which is odd, as you don't need a chain whip to remove a freewheel.
You need an HG cassette lockring tool
I think that is a freewheel remover as well, having compared tools on Chain Reaction
now I'm confused... will I need to remove the freewheel to change the cassette?

You don't have a freewheel. You have a cassette. They're different.
A freewheel is the sprockets and the gubbins that allow you to stop pedaling all in one. A cassette has the gubbins in the freehub body, which you leave attached to the hub.
Well... you probably do. Have you got a photo of your rear wheel (not in the bike) so we can confirm.
