Hi guys,
Just trying to change a cassette over on my wheels, the wheels were purchased second hand and came with a cassette on. I have changed a few cassettes in the past and its normally a quick job but the teeth on the inside of the lock ring are near enough rounded off now and I can not get a proper grip on them with the cassette tool.
Any other ideas as I am screwed at the moment!
Hammer/chisel, though you'll have to hold the cassette still somehow, or grind it off (but bear in mind you might then end up with the thread left in so be prepared to do something about that too - further careful grinding or ???).
Or send them back if they're not usable...
You could try to dremel/file/cut a slot and knock it with a hammer and flat screwdriver to get it moving?
