Whassit like? Suitable for 7+8 year old and a tag along? (bear in mind that we have taken tag along and burley along NantyArian and Mabie red routes...) it is more the kids - what's the climbing like particularly?
bit of climbing, but can cut out top section by looping straight from pipedream to cannonball run. bottom jumpy section has a major re-jig and i reckon if you've done other reds with a tag along you'll be fine (have seen photos of a kid on a tag-a-long on the original version and he looked like he was having a whale of a time).
there's also an shared use path along the reservoir with a good views and a couple of picnic benches at the far end. shown on the map, but I don't think it's waymarked (if it is I didn't spot it).
Miles of forest roads from end of "multi-use" path to the western end.
twas fun 🙂 Cheers to the other family in the car park with some advice about a dodgy missing sign. Fun ride, location is a bit 'odd' - not a single sign to the place, and only a misleading one with Giant and Specialized logo's on that takes you miles away...
Took my youngest son on the tag-a-long there when he was 5. Great fun!
Aye, we had tag along as well. Runway = whoops from behind all the way!
>location is a bit 'odd' - not a single sign to the place,<
Indeed. FC rather prefer to opt out of doing anything that might publicises the place.
Sillybillies...
matt - where was the specialized/giant sign? I should probably have retrieved that after the last event there...

I guessed it would probably be in Carron Valley where you can also find Carron Valley Reservoir 😀
I must admit it's a bit of a pain to get to from the west and the roads are quite potholey.
It's perfect for beginners usually take the missus and the 3 and a Half year old who can nail most of it on his balance bike. 🙂
Really! I am 40 and that climbs a killer!!
The tag along was that all ok through the switchbacks?
Yep, tad close at times, but ok
