It's a decent bit of kit, especially for the money. Solid frame, but it fits fairly well and isn't too short.
Make sure you get the new (gloss black) '09 model though!
It's a better frame and they've dropped the adjustable stem and suspension seatpost

I looked at one and then went for a Revoultion S1ngle from Edinburgh Bike Co-op. That's an excellent bike with nice components.
I found the Carrera was really short in the top tube and wasn't impressed with the components. I want the bike to maintenance free!
Those wheels will not last the same rims came stock on my Carrera Road bike and were gone in 3 months... to be honest if you want low maintenance go for a 26" SS commuter, the wheels will always be marginally stronger...
