I've got a second hand carrera sol for my 5yr old, but with some paint chips. Does anyone know where I could find a paint match for it. I've asked in Halfords and told that it is imported from somewhere far east and they don't know. Or is it a case of taking the frame to a paint store* to match?
*anywhere but halfords who may mix paint up 😀
get it repainted for ~£30 whatever colour your kid wants.

It was only £45 in the first place, so not going to spend to get it respraid. Its just about the right colour (for her) at the moment, just a little tatty, but mechanically sound.
When I was fixing up a second hand Spesh Hotrock 12 for my lad I took the stripped frame into Halfords to colour match it. Once I had a short list I sprayed each colour onto the frame wiping it off quick before it dried to get a perfect match...turned out to be VW Mars Red.
