Assuming you've already had the injection method?
My boss had this done and was "like new" almost over night.

I had release surgery on both hands together a few years ago. Approx 10-14 days and I was back on a motorbike. Can't comment on the wisdom of getting back on the trails as quick. Don't bugger up your recovery by rushing back out though.

Good luck.

What do they do exactly?

Inch or so incision into the palm of your hand to cut the ligament that sits over the tendons/nerves running into the hand. Releases pressure on the nerve that causes all the pain and numbness you get from CTS.

How does that effect you when you grip stuff?

Aye....try wiping your ass with both hands bandaged up like a couple of boxing gloves. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

How does that effect you when you grip stuff?

For me, a complete loss of feeling in my fingers if my wrists were left in a static position for any length of time. Driving, sleeping, writing, riding a bike.

Sorry. I mean having the ligaments cut.

But I suppose it's the best of a bad job and gives you a huge improvement or they wouldn't do it.

Interesting replies here.
I've had the tests and I'm waiting for the results.
I reckon I could be having the op soon.
