As per the title will be in that area over the weekend thinking of taking the singlespeed.any opinions?

short & fun. a lap is about 7 miles.

some steep climbing that'll be hard work on a singlespeed.

I'll second that. I'll even admit to walking up hell's teeth on the 2nd and 3rd loop

but you don't have to do the Hells teeth climb -some say the reward isn't worth it anyway

The climb is its own reward, doable on SS (just! Last few metres are proper hard on one)

do a few laps and you'll be giggling ๐Ÿ™‚

I did 2 evening laps in Aug when on hols, well recommended... how you can do hells teeth on a SS I do not know....! Need bigger legs...

Bloody mindedness, and tacking for the really steep bits to lessen the gradient, treat it as a challenge, even if you don't make it gives you a spot to try and get past next time!

I enjoyed it, my dad lives in Bodmin so took the bikes down when I went to see him last. Again needed two laps to make it worth my while but you drop into the and climb out of the valley a lot. Strava shows 475 meters of climbing over 2 laps.
