Hi, I´m trying to work out postage costs and need to know approximately how much a bike box weighs.
I could ask the manufacturer but they are not open now and am trying to organise collection for first thing tomorrow morning.

Cardboard weighs about 700kg/m^3

Recently sent a frame off which I think weighed 2kg give or take. Lots of packaging, around the headtube, stays etc, and the total weight was 4127g. I would have thought about 1kg, this was a frame box though, usually smaller than a complete bike box, so probably at a guess, 2 1/4kg, maybe 2 1/2kg.

It'll weigh more than you think for sure. Quite thick cardboard.
