I have a Cervelo S1 (alloy road frame) which has cracked on the seat tube just above the braze on for the Front Mech (it's an aero seat tube so the tube is flat on the sides). The crack is very very thin and before I got the frame the previous owner drill stopped it to stop it spreading. I have had the crack welded but the crack has returned.
I'm tempted to send the frame off to Vernon Barker to weld it, but before I do that would wrapping the whole tube in Carbon and Expoy be more effective than welding?
Also what kind of carbon/epoxy should I buy?

you'll be needed some appropriate cutlery for a home-brew fix.
tbh, if it's been welded once and reappeared I'd be worried that the metal was beign further weakened by any subsequent weld that didn't involve some heat treatment going on.w
I'm also thinking welding again might not be the best idea, hence the Expoxy/Carbon thought. I've read other posts on here with people suggesting it, but I'm curious to know how to do it.
