I have a set of rockshox reba gold forks and was going to get a carbon frame to make a single speed, a mate said a carbon frame mite not take the strain of a single speed? anyone done the same?

Don't understand that. If it has the dropouts/eccentric bb it wont matter.

Ive been using an old giant mcm carbon hard tail for years as a single speed
It so old it only has v-brake mount on rear but it just won't die

I ran a c456 singlespeed for a year with no breakages. My weeds knees were more likely to go before the frame, I think.
