Hi everyone. I'm looking to replace my winter roadie with something that ticks the following boxes:
* carbon frame
* mudguard mounts
* room for wide tyres (28mm at least, with full guards fitted)
Would probably prefer a relatively race geo and disc brakes, but that isn't a deal breaker. Don't need rack mounts, but I suppose that would be a plus.
Budget is around £1,000 for frame only, or £2,000 for a full bike. (Wouldn't need fancy parts, 105 is fine or possibly even the new Tiagra, which I hear is pretty good.)
I'm going to try to get a test sorted on a Genesis Datum 10 or 20, which look great. What else should I be looking at?
One issue is that it needs to be available in a pretty large frame size - I'm 6'6 with an 87cm saddle to BB drop. I like the look of the Pearson Rule 9, for example, but the largest frame size is a 56 and that's not going to work!
Thanks!
