[Closed] Carbon bike dropped chain protection

Same as any bike, plenty of chain devices. Just question of how it fits and various options for that.

If you're talking mtb and have 1x with narrow / wide chainring, then I wouldn't worry. I run like that on a carbon bike and no issues as it really doesn't drop the chain. Very rare anyway and when it does it's no more scratching anything than with alloy. Just paint and even then I've never had scratches.

Different matter with 2x/3x. I've had chain drop and jam behind the front cage and stuck against frame. Similar with chain suck. I don't get chain suck with 1x and narrow wide though.
