I know they are cheap as chips but what has anybody come up with to protect against chainsuck and downtube strikes?

I used matt helicopter tape from Paragon Tapes on eBay.

๐Ÿ™„ you can spot a Carbon 456 noob a mile off. Can't wait to laugh at your cable routing new boy.

I put about a mile of helicopter tape on mine- not from any fear of damage, just because the finish scratches quite easily.

As for chainsuck, I'm just ignoring it really- I put a couple of cable ties on it like I do with most bikes but supposedly the chainstay is designed with a load of redundancy in it to allow for chainsuck damage.

BBB do a nice long piece of thick rubbery tape you can stick to the underside of downtube. Zip tie a chopped up innertube round the chainstay. Job done.

I really fancy a custom fit type thing but heli tape will have to do ๐Ÿ™

Went for satin I think, whatever is 299.. ๐Ÿ˜€

The painted ones just scratch badly anyway. (or is satin painted?)

Already started buying blue bling!!

yep, I decided against red paint after seeing Sconey's. Matt, satin, raw etc much better idea, at 299 with no real finish you can trash it and not really care too much.
