[Closed] Car as a weapon and no ban?

Consider it implied, life’s too short to keep typing “removal of the privilege of driving”. But that is what most people mean…

I'm not convinced it is. I suspect many people regard driving as a "right", and the ban as "punishment", rather than a privilege, which is taken away because the person has proved incapable of doing it properly.

Yet no one seems to have the balls to take cars off people.
If they started handing out lifetime bans, (with no chance for getting a license back at all), people might start to think twice about how they use their vehicles.

OK - but no point preaching on here about it - go see your MP and ask them to change s42 o the road traffic offenders act. But you would probably make the roads safer by asking for a change to s28(4) instead - so that points are added for each offence individually.
