Hello to anybody in that area.

Heading there soon and wondering what conditions are like?

Are you riding 1x10 set ups?

Cheers in advance

Oh god. Has it really come to this? First people wouldn't set foot out of the door without checking what tyres were needed for a particular area. Now it seems that you can't ride a certain area if the gear ratios are not EXACTLY right. Are we supposed to change cassettes if we venture outdoors now?

Does anyone in this forum ACTUALLY ride a bike any more or is "talking a good ride" more important?

We did it singlespeed in the snow. Last year. But we wear heavy musk.

Well, I rode there in 1994 on a rigid Marin Bear Valley SE with a 120mm stem, bar ends and a purple seatpost qr. Then we went to the Swallow Falls, got pissed with some squaddies and tried to get off with two local girls.

Happy to help.

Drove through this afternoon

Conditions wet windy and fallen trees on the side of the road, snow on the top 500/1000 feet of snowdon.

Coed y brenin I think is still closed, not sure about the main or penmachno trails.

As for gears it's 24 / 36 for the hills for me.

Thanks 'beicmynydd' for the one constructive reply so far.

And to the others who obviously have nothing better to do!
